Arriving in Portugal
Porto Airport (OPO) is the suggested gateway. Lisbon (LIS) may also work for travellers adding a land stay. An optional two-night pre-cruise Lisbon hotel stay is expected to be available.
Activity Level
This is an active itinerary with walking tours, cobblestones, hills and uneven terrain. Travellers with mobility concerns should discuss their needs before booking.
Age & Participation
Guests must be 16 or older. Group activities and excursions are optional.
Travel Documents
A valid passport is required. Entry requirements vary by citizenship and may change.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be an experienced Mahjong player?
Players with different levels of experience are welcome. This trip is about enjoying the game, travel and time together rather than competitive play.
Do I need to know Sangita or the other travellers?
No. Shared-interest trips are a great way to meet people, and Mahjong gives the group an immediate connection.
Will there be time to play Mahjong?
Yes. The intention is to provide opportunities for group members to play and socialize during the cruise. Specific times and arrangements will be confirmed closer to departure.
Can my partner or friend come if they don’t play Mahjong?
Absolutely. Non-playing companions can enjoy the cruise, excursions, dining and destinations while Mahjong activities take place.
How much free time will I have?
Plenty. Participate in group activities as much or as little as you like. Choose excursions, relax onboard, explore independently or join a Mahjong game.
Are flights and transfers included?
No. Joanne and Sangita can assist with flights, transfers and pre- or post-cruise arrangements.
Is this an active itinerary?
Yes. Excursions can include hills, cobblestones, uneven surfaces and walking. Travellers with mobility concerns should discuss their needs before booking.
